Founder- Pragati Foundation

As the founder of Pragati Foundation, Kaumudi Jain is devoted to reviving and preserving traditional art forms of Lucknow, with a particular focus on Gulabo-Sitabo, a 150-year-old puppetry tradition unique to the region. Through her foundation, she has breathed new life into over 25 independent art forms, onboarded more than 400 local artists, and organized around 33 exhibitions showcasing these crafts, attracting a collective audience of over 60,000 and generating $15,000 in revenue. Kaumudi’s efforts have drawn national recognition, with Pragati featured in prominent media outlets. Her foundation also champions educational initiatives, teaching 67 underprivileged children these unique skills and fostering a sustainable livelihood for artists.
